You use Gmail? I do. You know the little Web Clips that appear above the inbox (or whatever particular “box” in which you’re looking)? Well I had just cleared out my Spam area and noticed a Spam specific recipe web clip. I clicked for the next clip and there was another, and another…
- Spam Quiche - Makes 4 servings
- Ginger Spam Salad - Serves 1, refrigerate overnight
- Savory Spam Crescents - Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown
- Spam Confetti Pasta - Preparation time 30 minutes
- Ginger Spam Salad - Serves 1, refrigerate overnight
I stopped clicking after five items. Recipesource.com is apparently the place for Spam related cooking. (Fried spam was actually a favorite breakfast of mine as a kid. No recipe needed, just throw a slice on the frying pan and let cook!)
I have been thinking that it’s kind of an easter egg inside gmail, but it could just be the adsense detecting the word ’spam’ everywhere.
Also it’s funny seeing the kind of ads displayed when I get emails from certain people on my friends lists too, the adsense fails so much sometimes!
