I'm sorry that's happening. My initial thought is that the jQuery method handling the 'click' isn't canceling that event. I don't see the same behavior on my site, so maybe the version of jQuery including in your WP install is older? It does not work as I wish though: when clicking the second time to get it to close again it closes but THEN the link takes me to the page of the post. I really hate that because then one gets lost easily so I woudl love to know how to fix that.
